What the heck is FAG Fest anyway?
Well, simple: we're funny and we're gay!
Seriously, though...
Over the past few years, we've seen incredible growth in Vancouver's queer comedy scene. From stand-up to improv to drag, queer and trans comedians and producers have been creating spaces that are vibrant, joyful, and undeniably funny.
FAG Fest is a celebration of that momentum. We want to showcase the incredible talent already thriving in our community while creating a space where audiences can discover queer comedy in all its forms.
We also know there are plenty of queer people who haven't yet found a local comedy scene they connect with. Through FAG Fest, we hope to introduce new audiences to Vancouver's talented queer performers and build connections that continue long after the festival ends.
Meet your producers
Aron MacDonald (they/them)
Aron has been performing stand-up for two years. They host and produce Comedy in the Afternoon, Vancouver's daytime comedy show. They also co-produce, Boyish comedy- the only all enby/trans/dyke lineup in Vancouver. Aron's comedy explores queerness, sex positivity, and the absurdities of everyday life, delivered with sharp wit and an animated energy. Aron is also a visual artist and organizer of the people.
